The final version of Facebook Messenger for Windows has just been officially released by Facebook.
The software can be downloaded from here: https://www.facebook.com/about/messenger and is currently only available for the Windows platform.
Facebook for Windows Messenger lets you chat and send messages directly from your desktop without having to go to the website facebook.com - The software is placed in the Windows system tray and is started automatically at system startup.
Messenger, allows you to chat with friends, also informs us of notifications of
our profile, such as comments, tags and everything else, from the
comfort of the small MSN style windows that appear in the lower right
notification area of Windows.
